Σέρβοι Στρατιωτικοί διαδήλωσαν διαμαρτυρόμενοι για τους μισθούς τους

More than 1,000 protesters, including members of the Serbian Army, police officers and army pensioners took to the streets of Belgrade, Sunday, to hold what reportedly is the first ever such protest by Serbian Army personnel.
SOT, Novica Antic, Head of Military Trade Union of Serbia (Serbian): "If a Serbian solider cannot feed his family throughout the whole month while spending more than 250 days annually in the field, then this is a problem. Perhaps, someone is doing this on purpose. The minister [of defence] says that there won't be layoffs in the army, perhaps not, but if they continue with this policy, the soldiers will start leaving soon."
SOT, Veljko Mijailovic, President of Police Union of Serbia (PSS) (Serbian): "Our people are in the trenches, in the deep mud. We won't be in that trench anymore because you treat us like we are unhuman. Fifteen years ago, we fought to stand here today, to defend our country. And where were you? Who did you fight for then? You were hiding behind the political parties, giving us 'support' in the most expensive sport suits and the most expensive shoes."
